Old wheat

Flours milled from ancient wheat were historically consumed before the Second World War.

Discover our range of ancient wheat flours such as Rouge de Bordeaux flour made from the wheat of the same name, an ancient variety selected for its rusticity and purity. It contains a “soft” gluten that requires special bread-making techniques. Our Rouge de Bordeaux is highly digestible thanks to its lower gliadin content and the conservation of its nutrients.

As a “limited edition”, Minoterie Suire offers a new ancient wheat every 6 months, such as Farvento, Seigle de Population, Blé Cappeli or Rouge de Morvan.
